The Parkers

1999-2004

The Parkers TV Show, or should I say Meet the Parkers, dude? We have prepared the theme song and lyrics from the Parkers TV show for you.

Talking (and researching) about Moesha will lead to its spin-off – The Parkers. The UPN-aired show centered on mother-daughter team Nikki and Kim Parker, played by actress Mo’Nique and Countess Vaughn, respectively.

The Parkers Theme Song

Since there is another R&B singer in the midst of this show, it again makes sense to have the main character sing and perform the theme song. The song was written by Countess Vaughn, but she shares the rights with composer Rodney Jerkins.

Unfortunately, like Moesha, this show has not yet been released on DVD, so the soundtrack is definitely out of order. But thanks again to YouTube and all the retro-loving people who rip and upload the opening sequences of cool shows.

Below are two unique versions of the opening sequence featuring the Countess Vaughn theme song.

Lyrics

We’re the Parkers

We do anything that’s new, come and join us

We’re the Parkers

We do anything that’s new, come and join us.

You know what, I’m sorry, but the second line in the lyrics to the theme song from the Parkers TV show is just a wild guess. I just can’t figure it out. Hit the comments if you know the correct lyrics. Thanks a lot.

Amy Hunter – Mommy’s the word

Amy Hunter steals the show when she guest stars in a Halloween episode of The Parkers. Amy is fabulous, funny and unforgettable as Cleopatra tries to lure the Professor into a kiss that will reunite her with her long-lost love. A phenomenal, funny, physical performance by superFINE Amy!

As always, tell me if you like this theme song, and listen to the other themes we have prepared for you below. There are so many items I think you might be interested in, and see you next time.
